For many businesses in the event, food service, and hospitality industries, the start of Spring signifies the beginning of busy season, which is a great time for gig workers to make some extra cash. Busy season at Shiftgig means a variety of available shifts ranging from graduation parties to weddings to stadium events (and more). In this post, we’ll cover a few tips for making the most out of this exciting time of the year.
Make sure you have the proper uniform

Update your resume

Brush up on your skills (or learn a new one!)
Be mindful of your schedule
When picking up shifts, be mindful of your schedule so you don’t accidentally double book yourself (especially if you have multiple jobs). If you’re looking to work a lot, make sure your notifications are updated in the Shiftgig app that way you know each time a shift is posted. (And it couldn’t hurt to brush up on our shift dropping policy just incase.)
